Full Details

If you are looking for a spacious bungalow in lovely order throughout, then look no further! Arundell Road is found on the edge of the small town of North Tawton, with its amenities & bus links to Okehampton/Exeter just a 4 minute walk away, with numerous country walks in the other direction.
Set on a corner plot this semi-detached bungalow is only attached to its neighbour on the north-east corner, so you feel very much detached.

The accommodation is very nicely presented & it reaches over 1,000sqft, there are two double bedrooms, both with large bay windows & storage, the living room also has a bay window giving plenty of natural light and a cosy wood-burning stove (installed in 2017). Adjoining is the dining room with a large opening through to the 2016 fitted kitchen breakfast room, which had underfloor insulation added at the same time and includes a Belling Range style cooker, extractor, washing machine & fridge, plus lots of storage and worktop space with views to the side too. Off the entrance hall is a wet room, which could be returned to a bath/shower room quite easily, the rear entrance & storage/larder area (which could become a utility or cloakroom) complete the inside. There is mains gas central heating via a 2018 fitted boiler and uPVC double glazed doors & windows throughout (except the rear store/larder).
The corner plot garden is a lovely size, but manageable, with the main south-facing garden extending to around 20m / 65ft of lawns with a mature hedge-line giving privacy, flowers & a Red Robin. The side footpath takes you to a level triangle of garden (13m / 42ft in length) which is largely lawned and has a substantial shed too. Parking is readily available on Arundell Road, but it would be possible to create a good quality block paved parking area for 2 cars to the front for around £10,000 (far less if stone chippings were used).

NORTH TAWTON is a small town, built alongside the banks of ‘The River Taw’. Settlements in and around the ‘Taw Valley’ experience a haven-like quality, between the often steep-edged hillsides – a contrast to other areas of more open farmland. The town has a selection of shops, a primary school, The Fountain and The White Hart pubs and an undeniably pretty square. For more choice, by way of facilities the larger town of Okehampton is only 5 miles up the road – where access to the A30 dual carriageway (a link to the City of Exeter) can also be found. North Tawton, as with many Devon towns has a prime medieval church, with a west spire adorned with oak shingles. The town is also known for its superb creamery. The Taw Valley Creamery (est 1974) produces award -winning cheeses, revered locally and nationally.
