Full Details

Oldway is a Grade II Listed part-thatched cottage which dates back to the 17th century, with the rear half of the property having a slate roof. It is found in the superb village of Thorverton with a fantastic number of amenities and great access by car or bus to Exeter and Tiverton with the M5 not far beyond. The accommodation has been improved tastefully and with environment-friendly Earthborn and low VOC paints being used throughout the interior.

We have two bedrooms, including a huge master bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a feature fireplace. There is a modern and tastefully tiled shower room upstairs. Downstairs the sizeable lounge diner enjoys a beautiful inglenook fireplace with multi-fuel burner and a window seat, plus exposed beam, and a kitchen breakfast room to the rear complete with Hotpoint electric hob, an electric oven and tiled flooring.

In 2021 brand new and energy-efficient electric radiators have been installed (two Dimplex Quantum & two Hyco Accona panel heaters), additional loft insulation is awaiting installation. The stable door from the kitchen leads to an enclosed south facing rear courtyard (3.9m x 3.73m) which is low maintenance and private. On road parking is found on Bullen Street itself.
