Full Details

Amaury Cottage is a surprisingly spacious L-shaped terraced cottage, found in the heart of the wonderful village of Morchard Bishop, yet tucked away from the road in a nice & quiet position.
It’s believed to have been two cottages previously, hints of this are apparent with the two staircases serving the first floor - The accommodation reaches approximately 145sqm / 1,546sqft and includes four double bedrooms, to one end is the master & 2nd bedroom, served by a bathroom with shower & screen over the bath and his & hers sinks. To the western end are two further double bedrooms, served by a shower room.

Downstairs we have a kitchen diner, with a brand-new Wren kitchen fitted in 2022, including a centre island, Bosch oven, induction hob & extractor, dishwasher & space for fridge freezer There is also a wood-burning stove & an attached utility room with a 2nd sink and space for a washing machine & tumble drier. The huge living room extends to over 6m x 4m and features a large wood-burning stove – There are Solar PV panels (owned outright) which provide free power to the cottage while it’s being generated, but do not receive money back from the grid, the whole property has oil-fired central heating & uPVC double glazing too. In addition is a new garden office which is double glazed, insulated, has light, power & wired-in broadband, with its own outside WC attached.

Outside: To the front is off-road parking for 3 cars, a garage/workshop with light & power points, a wood-store and the oil-tank. To the rear from the utility we head over a small leat, proceed up 5 steps to a very pleasant paved seating area, three paths lead to the main, south-facing & largely lawned garden (16m x 14m) which backs onto fields offering a lovely outlook and the feeling of space.
