School House is a beautiful Victorian semi-detached house, found just off the green in the pretty and quiet village of Coldridge.

The accommodation is attractively presented throughout and includes three double bedrooms, plus a study, served by an upstairs white suite bathroom with electric shower over the bath. The entrance porch has a handmade glazed oak door with the entrance hall leading to a sitting room and spacious dining room – both with wood-burning stoves, plus a kitchen with Belfast sink, gas hob and twin oven, with a separate pantry/store and utility with WC and sink. There is oil-fired central heating throughout, as well as uPVC double glazing to nearly all windows, with secondary glazing to the 3 remaining. There are wonderful views to Dartmoor from the front bedrooms and study.

Outside: To the front is a pretty, level and enclosed garden (11m x 4m) with two small lawn areas and an array of flowers within the beds and borders. To the rear is an enclosed yard, outside store, modern oil-tank, wood-store and LPG gas bottles for cooking, with side access gate. There is no allocated parking, but the owner can park 2 cars immediately to the side, with ample parking normally found around The Green.

COLDRIDGE is a secluded, undisturbed village not far to the north of Dartmoor National Park. Until the early 1900s it was known as ‘Coleridge’ – it is thought to mean the “ridge where charcoal is made”, a sound conclusion, and once where there were wooded hills, now lie green pastures. It rests along the epic ‘Two Moors Way’, a trail that runs from Devon’s South to North Coast – more than an idle wander. For access to a comprehensive choice of facilities the town of Crediton is 9 miles away, a short trip. The nearest train station is Morchard Road, 4 miles away – this sits along the Tarka Line that twists through some of the most scenic parts of Devon, through open country and hidden gorges from the City of Exeter all the way to Barnstaple.

DIRECTIONS: Use EX17 6AX for Sat-Nav, the house adjoins the Village Hall next to the village Church.
