This superbly presented and spacious detached house is found in a quiet cul-de-sac within Cheriton Fitzpaine and offers some lovely views over and between rooftops of rolling Devon countryside from the front, especially from the first floor.
The accommodation reaches some 1,900sqft / 176sqm and underwent a massive schedule of improvements between 2017 and 2019, with very little wear & tear since then, so it is really in first class order. There are four double bedrooms, two with en-suite shower rooms and three with built-in storage. There is also a family bathroom with shower and screen over the bath.
Coming in through the front door, storage has been created under the stairs. There are doors to two large reception rooms, with the living room being dual-aspect and including a modern wood-burner and sliding doors to the rear garden. The kitchen is lovely with granite worktops, Neff electric hob, twin oven and warming draw with matching units and tops in the utility room, which also has a Miele dishwasher and Worcester gas boiler. There is a handy ground floor cloakroom with WC and sink too. The whole property has uPVC double glazed doors and windows (the master bedroom skylight is a timber double glazed Velux) and has LPG gas central heating (underground tank in the front garden) with a new boiler added during the refurbishment. If that wasn’t enough, a new insulated garden office/studio with mains power, light and double glazing offers a superb place to work (or play!).
To the front is a pretty garden with lawn, mature beds, borders and trees setting it back from the close. Adjacent is a driveway (12.5m x 7.2m) for 4-6 vehicles, which lies in front of the long DOUBLE GARAGE (electronic door, light, power and space and plumbing for washing machine and tumble drier to the rear) which has a rear door and window.
To the rear the garden (approx. 24m x 10m) is enclosed and private. There is an area of lawn, an array of flowers within the beds and borders and behind the garden office, a paved seating area and fish pond. There is also a garden shed and a greenhouse to the side.
The house is being sold with no onward chain.
Please see the floorplan for room sizes (floor area excludes double garage and eaves storage space).

CHERITON FITZPAINE sits in a vast and hilly lowland region of Devon, the village is 9 miles from the City of Exeter and 1.5 miles northeast of the Crediton/ Tiverton A3072 road – a route that could be argued to be one of the most stunning sunset drives in the county. The village appears timeless and has many listed cottages with the classic poured custard thatched roofs. Notably there’s also a gothic church, known for its hard edges and sharp peaks. There are two pubs, The Ring of Bells and The Half Moon Inn – both of which are unique, but equally Devonian in spirit. Cheriton Fitzpaine is a substantial size and has a multi-million pound primary school, a community shop and Doctor’s surgery plus nearby Thornes Farm Shop, Café & Deli which is home to some exceptional quality homegrown produce. Local children are fortunate to be able to use (acquire grass stains in!) and shoot hoops in ‘Jack’s Acre’, a large playing field/ park maintained by the parish council.
