Meet Rob

I'm Rob, one of the partners here, and I've been at Helmores since 1990, the third generation of my family to look after the business. I've done pretty much every job going over the years, from viewings and negotiating to valuing and growing our managed lettings portfolio. Back at the start it was a different world: the photos came back from the developers the next day, so nothing hit the market until the pictures turned up, property details were typed out and posted, and buyers were matched by hand from a tray of index cards. Hard to imagine now!

I'm one of the few people around who's seen the industry change beyond all recognition, from those early days right through the digital revolution to the AI era we're in now, and I've loved every bit of it.

In 2013 I became the first qualified drone pilot in UK estate agency, and I've since done drone work for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. These days I look after our marketing, social media and video, and keep the cogs turning behind the scenes.

After all these years I could quite happily step back, but I don't, because I still love it, and because my family's name is over the door. That's not something a big chain can copy, and it's why I still care about every little detail, right down to the last drone shot.
